Inspecting the bridge.

THE mayor of Manilva, Mario Jiménez, visited the Marina of Casares to check in situ the works that are being carried out for the definitive placement of the bridge that will link the two localities.

He met with his opposite number from Casares, Jose Carrasco, together with other councillors from both towns to discuss the future of the link between the two towns.

A great deal of work has been involved in bringing the 30 metre bridge to Casares on heavy lorries and it will shortly be put in place across the Rio Manilva which will make the crossing much safer and drier.

Both mayors were delighted that the bridge had finally arrived and apologised to local residents for any inconvenience that may have been caused whilst the work to unload the bridge and its support was being undertaken as well as any further inconvenience when it is eventually put into place.
