KOENIGSEGG ONE:1: You aren’t the spawn of an African dictator without one.
WHAT cars do the krazy kids of tyrannical African dictators drive? Bemused onlookers caught a glimpse of the luxurious world of sub-Saharan strongmen when the fleet of one young speed demon was seized in Switzerland.
Teodoro Nguema Obiang Mangue is the son of the similarly named Teodoro Obiang Nguema Mbasogo, who happens to rule Equatorial Guinea with an iron fist. There are a series of international warrants out for the dictator’s arrest on charges of defrauding the impoverished nation of practically all its wealth.
That meant the supercar collection of his son was fair game for the Swiss authorities. Last week the street stood still as they carted off his Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg One:1 and Lamborghini Veneno Roadster.
It comes five years after Teodoro Junior, who is naturally vice president of the tiny country, lost his Bentley Azure, two more Bugatti Veyrons, a Ferrari Enzo , Maserati MC12 and Porsche Carrera GT in raid by French police in Paris.
