All about teamwork

MARIA DEL MAR MEDINA, Almuñecar-La Herradura’s councillor for Institutional Relations and Festivities, alongside Toñi Salinas Muñoz, president of the Residents’ Association of  La Carrera, have presented the poster and official program for the district’s official fiestas.

The festival in honour of Our Lady of the Immaculate Conception will be held from December 8-10, and will see a host of sports and other activities taking place throughout the neighbourhood, concluding with the spectacular burning of a ‘fireworks castle’ on Saturday 10.

Medina expressed her satisfaction with the plans, because “we are returning to these ujnique holidays, and I want to congratulate the Residents’ Association for their efforts, determination and the quality of the events that they have organised.”

Salinas explained that the extensive program “has been prepared with residents of all ages, children and adults, in mind, so that the fun can be shared by everyone.”

The town hall prides itself on maintaining a close collaboration with local citizens so that such public fiestas are both successful and safe, and the department of Maintenance and Gardening have been busy carrying out preparatory work so that everything is ready for residents and visitors.

“Thanks to the dedicated effort and shared workload, we can continue to celebrate our traditions,” added Medina.
