Elderly woman rescued from raging fire in Villa-real

CALLED to a raging fire on the top floor of an apartment block in the town of Villa-real (Castellon), officers from the National Police assisted the fire brigade in evacuating residents including an 86-year-old woman.

Five officers were affected by problems caused by smoke inhalation but no other injuries were reported and the fire was eventually brought under control whilst the cause is currently under investigation.
