SPAIN has progressed to the quarter finals of the Davis Cup beating Croatia, the 2016 finalists, 3-2 at the Gradski Vrt Hall in Osijek, Croatia.
They overcame a 1-2 deficit to advance to the quarter finals for the first time since 2012.
The Spanish Conchita Martinez-led squad will face Serbia in April for a spot in the semi finals.
Hopefully Rafael Nadal, the world number six, will be back in the squad for that match. He was ruled out of the squad for the Croatia match due to fatigue after losing in five sets to Roger Federer in the final of the Australian Open.
