Guardia Civil officers stormed an illegal moped race in Alora
ONE man, aged 20, faces charges of dangerous driving and another 15 were done for various offences against road safety when Guardia Civil officers stormed an illegal moped race in Alora.
Officers from the Antequera Guardia Civil traffic department were tipped off that a day of races was to be held in the Alora countryside and set up an operation to put a stop to it.
The 20-year-old moped driver tried to flee the scene when he became aware of the police presence but was quickly caught by officers. Meanwhile the other 15 were identified and booked, mostly for having made important irregular changes to their mopeds to increase their speed or power.
