A VERY laudable fundraising campaign is due to take place in Fuengirola on Saturday March 11 in order to raise money for the Cudeca Hospice which offers palliative care to those suffering from the effects  of cancer in this its 25th year.

All proceeds received between 9am and 4pm by two local hairdressing salons, Petro Peluqueros, Calle Fiesta de la Crema, Edif. La Polonia, Local B1 (telephone 952 467 130) and CR Hair Stylists, Avenida Jesús Santos Rein, Edif. Don Luis will be donated to the charity.

The main events of the day will take place at the Petro Peluqueros salon and at noon, local alternative band Auralyn Waves formed by Danish singer Sandie Ann Nielsen and Spanish guitarist Dario Merino will present a number of their songs and it is anticipated that other bands will also appear during the day.

Baldo restaurant situated in the Plaza de la Hispanidad has agreed to supply 200 portions of paella and tickets for this tasty option will be sold in the salon whilst La Tahona de los Boliches is joining in with 150 delicious cakes which will be available in the salon together with some refreshing mojitos.

Raffle tickets will be on sale with some great prizes, including styling from Petro Peluqueros, massages from Fisio la Hispanidad and even a flat screen TV so with the draw taking placing at about 4pm, there will be plenty to keep visitors interested.

The whole point of the day, which is organised by Cudeca Goldies and sponsored by 93.6 Global Radio, is to raise funds so that the Cudeca Foundation can continue to give its vital assistance to those suffering from the scourge of cancer and their families.
