GUARDIA CIVIL officers in Huelva have recovered more than 600 kilograms of stolen mandarins and 200 kilograms of strawberries valued at more than €1100.
Five people have been arrested in the operation that is fighting thefts from agricultural estates in the province.
A road block on the N431 road (Gibraleón-Huelva) intercepted the vehicle and the occupants of the vehicle could not provide any documentation that the fruit was their property.
The officers have now identified the rightful owners of the goods and have returned them to the legitimate owners.
Police patrols in the area have now been stepped up.
