Costa Women supports International Women’s Day

This year the International Women’s Day (IWD) global theme is #BeBoldForChange, and Costa Women are joining with 1230 The Women’s Company to ‘Make it Happen’ for IWD on the Costa del Sol with two events. 

On the evening of Thursday March 9 they will be hosting a special networking event around the global #BeBoldforChange theme at Avanto in La Cala de Mijas from 7.30pm. The evening will include a presentation by ‘Sisu’ ambassador, Kati van der Hoeven. 

Kati was a famous model in Finland who suffered an undiagnosed stroke in her 20s.  She is now unable to speak and is in a wheelchair; suffering from locked-in syndrome.  However, Kati has learnt to use her eye movements to communicate – Kati is truly being bold for change and you can read her story at http://katilepisto.fi/en/

Costa Women are then hosting their 5th Annual Conference on Friday March 10 at Andalucia Lab in Marbella. Seven international speakers from the UK and Spain will be delivering talks on topics currently being faced by Women in Business and receiving tips and ideas for how to make it happen in their lives and business.
