A PETITION for the Barcelona – Paris Saint-Germain match to be played again has reached more than 200,000 signatures.
Luis Melendo Olmedo, a Real Madrid fan, started the petition after Barcelona made a historic comeback at the return leg of their Champions League knockout stage match.
Olmedo claims there were “incidences that gravely hindered PSG” during the match such as the German referee’s, Deniz Aytekin, decision making which “benefited FC Barcelona.”
The Real Madrid fan also provides ‘photo evidence’ of the events which transpire in the game which, to his mind, were clearly decisions made to benefit Barcelona’s team.
The petition has a 300,000 signature target although it is unlikely that UEFA will schedule a rematch.
