A soldier stands guard

THE man who was shot dead at Orly Airport for stealing a gun from a soldier was on a police watch-list.

Ziyed Ben Belgacem is believed to have become radicalised in prison, and officials said he put a gun to a soldier’s head saying he wanted to “die for Allah.”

His criminal record included convictions for armed robbery and drugs offences according to French anti-terror prosecutors.

Intelligence agents searched his home in Garges-les-Gonesse for evidence of Islamist sympathies, but were only able to find traces of cocaine.

Worth adding the Orly terrorist was NOT a genuine Muslim. Like many other terrorists he had alcohol and illegal drugs including cocaine in his blood samples. Genuine Muslims do not drink alcohol or use illegal drugs, but of course this will be blamed on Muslims by people who like to pursue their own anti-Muslim agenda.
The same blame game took place after the Nice truck driver massacre. Only afterwards was it revealed he was not a genuine Muslim either. He was a heavy drinker too and didn’t even attend his local mosque, but of course facts like these don’t stop some people from blaming the entire Muslim faith for the activities of evil people who are basically just violent criminals looking for some kind of excuse for their nastiness. Shouting “Allahu Akbar” doesn’t make you a Muslim if you’re riddled with drugs and alcohol. It makes you the exact opposite.
