Here lies Pablo Picasso
A MALAGA born sculptor has made a strikingly accurate model of Spanish artist Pablo Picasso.
Eugenio Merino, who is known for creating sculptures of dead historical figures, has put the life-like artwork on display in the Alianza Francesa building in Picasso’s hometown of Malaga.
The ‘corpse’ is made of a combination of fibreglass, resin and plastic coated with silicone and is embedded with real human hair.
The exhibition, according to Merino, – which takes you on a journey through Picasso’s life – will highlight the impact unsustainable tourist growth has on local communities.
