The mangled vehicle
A CAR has driven on to a crowded pavement in New York’s Times Square, killing one person and injuring others.
The New York Police Department said the driver is in custody and the area has been sealed off.
Witnesses say at least 10 people were being treated for injuries at the scene.
Police have said it was an accident and that the driver “lost control” of the vehicle.
