National Police officer viewing the contents of the laptop
STAFF working in a computer business in La Linea alerted the National Police to indecent images on three devices brought in for backing up.
A 60-year-old British man living in Gibraltar had brought in a laptop, tablet and smartphone and as staff started to undertake the work required, they discovered what they believed to be pornographic images of minors and alerted the National Police.
Having viewed the images, officers identified up to 100 files containing videos and photographs of children believed to be aged between three and 15 years so concluded that the owner of the devices was a paedophile and promptly arrested him.
