Marbella expats just keep on giving to charity

SUNDAY night marked the 10^th year that Sandro Morelli hosted the Children with Cancer UK dinner in Marbella with almost €45,000 collected.

This now means that Sandro and Villa Tiberio have helped to raise in excess of €400,000 to assist in the ongoing search for a cure for the dreaded disease that can hit anyone at any time.

The evening was sold out well in advance of the dinner and the guests, mainly from the Marbella area enjoyed a night of good food, fine wine and superb entertainment which went on until nearly 2am.

There were too many singers to mention individually but all performed exceptionally well, following introductions by regular compere at these events, Steve Cline although the opening act was one that no-one expected.

After a spectacular build up, a large, carrot faced, haystack haired character called Donald Trump appeared on stage to chat with the audience about his world and what he knew of Marbella.

It turned out that this was actually Lewis MacLeod, the new voice of Postman Pat and Sebulba from Star Wars The Phantom Menace who flew over especially to help raise funds for the charity.

Also seen amongst those at the dinner were Producer and Financier Ed Crozier, President of the Scottish Rugby Union but it didn’t matter who each guest was, each helped to raise funds to make life a little better for children at Great Ormond Street.
