Mickey Mouse joins Spanish police

MUCH-LOVED  Disney character Mickey Mouse will be joining  Spain’s Guardia Civil police to raise awareness of road safety across the country.

The Walt Disney Company have partnered with the Civil Guard to promote the special campaign to children during the 2017/2018 school year.

Talks will address issues such as the importance of wearing helmets and gloves when riding a bicycle or skateboard and the right way to cross public roads.

The Disney Channel series Mickey and the Superpilotos, in which Mickey, Minnie, Goofy, Donald, Daisy and Pluto compete in fast car races, are seen as an ideal tool to raise awareness in an effective but fun way.

In 2014 both organisations also worked together on a campaign relating to internet safety for minors.
