MALAGA’S heat wave is set to come to an end this weekend, but not before temperatures soar to up to 38 degrees.
AEMET predicts that Tuesday (June 27) is set to be the hottest day with mainland areas such as Coin and Alora seeing the worst of the heat whilst coastal areas should begin to feel cooler. However Estepona did reach 38 degrees on Monday and has been affected considerably by the heat wave.
Areas surrounding the Guadalhorce River will also be on the hotter end of the scale in the coming days.
By Wednesday, Malaga province will see highs of 33 degrees during the day, and 22 at night.
Thursday and Friday will be cooler with temperatures reaching 31 degrees during the day and 20 at night.
Saturday marks the end of the heat wave according to forecasts, with cool winds bringing temperatures down to 28 degrees by day and 20 at night. The humidity is however is expected to rise considerably.
