‘Drunk and naked’ British mother held in Gran Canaria

A 30-YEAR-OLD British mum has been arrested for allegedly wandering the streets of Gran Canaria without any clothes on after abandoning her children.

Police were called after several disgruntled residents reported a nude woman staggering around Mogan “in an obvious state of drunkenness.”

The woman was arrested for leaving her two children at a house in Patalavaca to beg on the streets. The Guardia Civil said that the children, aged two and four, were found in a flat “starving and dirty.”

According to investigators, the British woman was on holiday visiting her parents who live on the island.

After releasing the woman, detectives confirmed that she had returned to care for her children.
