A lorry driver was forced to drive with his vehicle ablaze to reach fire services
A LORRY was forced to drive along the roads of Granada whilst its cargo was on fire.
The driver noticed his trailer was ablaze and was forced to make the difficult decision on whether to stop the vehicle or not.
Both options were dangerous, as the truck was close to a natural park, which could easily have triggered another forest fire similar to the one in Huelva.
Following instructions from his boss, the driver carried on to Cogollos Vega, some two kilometres away, where fire services promptly supressed the flames.
It is believed that some dumped furniture, which had previously been burnt, re-ignited whilst in the lorry’s trailer.
