Mysterious burned corpse found near Jubrique in Malaga

A POLICE probe has been launched after a motorist spotted a burned corpse by the MA-8301 road between Estepona and Jubrique.

The dead man’s body was reportedly still on fire as the driver pulled over at around midnight yesterday (Monday), but it is unclear whether he was still alive.

As emergency services arrived the surrounding vegetation had also burst into flames although the blaze was quickly extinguished.

The victim has not yet been identified due to the charred state of his remains, as investigators try to determine the chain of events leading to his death which is being treated as suspicious.

A post mortem examination is scheduled for today (Tuesday).
