WATCH: Huge hailstones fall in northern Spain

A VIDEO has appeared online showing giant hail stones hammering the countryside in northern Spain.

Golf ball-sized lumps of ice rained down in Almazan last week and are believed to have killed sheep who were in the fields at the time.

Car windows were also smashed as well as other material damages. Loud bangs can be heard in the video as the hail battered a roof with considerable force.

This comes just weeks after the same region was hit by another unrelenting hailstorm which flooded the streets.
