Mr Bean makes his TV return in airline safety video alongside Rob Brydon

MR BEAN: One of the celebrities to feature in video.

THE airline bagged an impressive A-list cast to ‘audition’ for a part in its new pretake off clip in front of comedian Asim Chaudhry in aid of Comic Relief.

As such, the celebrities who turned up for filming included Westworld’s Thandie Newton, Ian McKellen, Warwick Davis, Chiwetel Ejiofor, Gillian Anderson, Game of Thrones star Jim Broadbent, Rob Brydon, Gordon Ramsay and even Mr Bean.

Unfortunately, the final video won’t be available to view until September, so you’ll have to wait until then to see it in the skies.

The airline says that the new film has been designed to ‘help customers absorb important safety messages, while boosting fundraising for Flying Start, the global charity partnership between British Airways and Comic Relief’ (via Business Traveller).

Indeed, at the end of the clip, Mr Bean searches the seats for his spare change… Other highlights include Gordon Ramsay getting fed lines that were clearly meant for Joanna Lumley, Rob Brydon telling passengers to blow on their life vest’s whistle if ‘they like attention’ and Gillian Anderson getting stranded between a British and American accent.

Ah well. Customers will be viewing this video overseas, so how very apt. BBC Three’s critically-acclaimed mockumentary This Country is being picked up for a second series.

Yep, it’s officially time to head back to the Cotswolds, as the cameras get set to explore the lives of cousins Kerry and Lee ‘Kurtan’ Mucklowe once again, much to our delight.

Launched online back in February on BBC Three, and with a slot on BBC One, This Country is written by siblings Daisy May Cooper and Charlie Cooper.

Its classic comedy is hugely popular with fans and critics alike, so it’s no surprise six brand new episodes of This Country will be heading to our screens next year.
