A WOMAN has been arrested after mocking the death of a police officer on the internet.
The 22-year old allegedly had no respect for the dead as she published comments declaring her joy at the death of a policeman.
She continued her online slander, stating how she hoped more officers would die and rejoicing in any event of personal misfortune that members of the Spanish police force suffered.
The investigation began when an agent of the Local Police of La Linea de la Concepcion died whilst chasing a smuggler who was fleeing on a moped.
Police eventually tracked her down and discovered her identity. She has since been arrested and is pending a court appearance.
