SPAIN is braced for another spell of scorching weather as a pocket of hot air will sit over much of the country for three days.
Spaish national meteorological office, AEMET, has issued yellow and orange warnings for many inland areas where temperatures are expected to exceed 40 celsius.
The latest alerts come just weeks after a heatwave nicknamed Lucifer swept the country.
High temperatures then were blamed for the death of a 54-year-old road worker who collapsed of heat exhaustion while laying asphalt in Sevilla.
The warnings for Friday 18 August, Saturday 19 August and Sunday 20 August are as follows:
