Free ink for breast cancer sufferers in Fuengirola

KIND GESTURE: Rolling Tattoo joins Solidarity network.

BREAST cancer battlers are being offered free tattoos.

A studio in Fuengirola is giving free aesthetic reconstructions in the form of tattoos to women who have suffered breast cancer.

Rolling Tattoo will provide two free tattoos a month to women who have had a mastectomy and are interested. It comes after the studio joined the national network Solidarity Tattoo.

Rolling Tattoo is the only studio in Fuengirola to have become a member. Ricardo Von Wichmann, the Fuengirola councillor for health announced that “the studio manager contacted the department of health and informed us that his tattoo study had been incorporated into the national network of Solidarity Tattoo.”

He added that they perform aesthetic reconstructions by creating a nipple tattoo and areolas for people who have had a mastectomy.

Studio manager, Javier Jimenez, said:“When a mastectomy is done there is a scar and the nipple usually disappears.

“Many women suffer the loss of that part of their body, so we what we do is rebuild it by making a tattoo.”

People can benefit from this free initiative contacting the studio located in Calle Sevilla.
