A BRITISH holiday sickness claims firm has been stripped of its licence by the Claims Management Regulator.
Lancashire based Allsure Ltd was found to be encouraging holidaymakers to “fabricate or embellish” symptoms of gastric illness in order to get compensation.
Further evidence showed the firm also deceived consumers into expecting very large pay-outs and also taught them how to win the claims.
Allsure Ltd has had its licence cancelled, meaning it can no longer offer regulated claims management services to new or existing clients.
Kevin Rousell, head of the CMR said: “We will take firm action against claims businesses which engage in serious misconduct.
“Seeking to encourage false claims will not be tolerated.”
