AIRPORT unions have suspended the 25 days of strikes after making “substantial progress” in their negotiations with the Spanish government.
The Secretary of State Infrastructure, Transport and Living and president of Enaire, Julio Gomez-Pomar, and the president of Aena, Jose Manuel Vargas, attended the meeting which put forward a new plan which the CCOO, UGT and USO unions will discuss in their next meeting with the government on September 12.
With another meeting set, the strikes have again been postponed with no dates set as a deadline.
A CCOO spokesperson said “we need to give the negotiation a chance.”
Unions are calling for salary raises above 1 per cent, a list of benefits for all workers and more staff.
