ALEX GREEN is fighting for his life after being found unconscious in a street with serious head injuries during his Magaluf stag party.
The 26-year-old fireman who lives in Rochdale, Greater Manchester, was just six hours into his trip when he was found.
Father to a two-year-old boy, Zach, Alex suffered a broken nose and cheek bone, fractures to his eye sockets, a collapsed lung and bleeding on the brain.
He has been placed in an induced coma due to the severity of his injuries and has undergone surgery.
His fiancée, Rebecca Thorpe, told British media that she flew out to be with him, she said:
“We just can’t stop crying, we just want to get him home. It’s just so out of the ordinary. He is such a good person, so hard working and a devoted dad.”
Alex was in a group of 25 which included friends and family who had become worried when he went to the toilet but did not return.
How Alex sustained the injuries is still unknown. His friend, Scott Cash, described how he found out about the incident, he said:
“I got a phone call from Alex’s phone, and it was someone else telling me we needed to go to him.
“When we found him he was unconscious and his face was a mess with significant injuries.
“No one has got a clue what has happened to him.”
Friends have set up a Just Giving page to help cover the cost of his medical care.
The page states that the insurance company refused to pay out due to there being alcohol in his system.
The fundraising page for Alex can be found at justgiving.com/crowdfunding/ant-unzueta
