AIRPORT unions are confident a deal will be reached ‘soon’ as talks continue with the Ministry for Development.
Their objective, according to reports, is to see agreements “written on paper” over increasing staff numbers and better salaries.
Unions have set a deadline to reach a deal for the end of September, failure to do so will result in strikes beginning in October.
The Spanish government has put forward plans to hire 600 more workers, and is still negotiating salary increases as the tax authority needs to approve them.
