Alex Green with his family
ALEX Green, who was found severely injured on a Magaluf stag party, may have fallen from a building site.
The British father-of-one was left in a serious condition after being found on a street with severe injuries.
Just six hours into his stag party, Alex disappeared from his group after visiting the toilet.
The Rochdale fireman ended up being admitted to hospital and placed in an induced coma having suffered a broken nose and cheek bone, fractures to his eye sockets, a collapsed lung and bleeding on the brain.
Spanish media report that police have ruled out an assault as the cause of Alex’s injuries and are now investigating the theory that he fell from the site of the former Jamaica Hotel as his head and facial injuries are believed to be consistent with an impact from a blunt object such as a wooden support.
The hotel in Calle Blanc has remained closed for years following numerous cases of aluminosis (a lung disease caused by exposure to aluminium dust) and is being converted into a new hotel and shopping centre.
Locals living near the building site, where the hotel is undergoing renovation works, claimed to have heard people encouraging him to enter the area.
A night watchman for the site has been questioned but told police he saw nothing and that nobody was in the restricted area when colleagues alerted him to the incident.
Attempts by police to discover the exact location Alex fell from have not yet proved successful.
