SPANISH train operator Renfe will launch its latest offer to celebrate 25 years of high speed train travel in the country from 00.00 on Monday, 25 September.
This will be the sixth release of 25,000 tickets at €25, normally released on the 25th day of the month for travel to destinations on the AVE high-speed network between October 1 and November 30.
Tickets can be purchased on a first come first served basis until sold out either via the website (www.renfe.com), at ticket offices, by telephone or at travel agencies.
During previous releases all the promotional tickets have sold out very quickly, sometimes in less than an hour.
According to Renfe their web site has received up to 55,000 queries per minute and they have upgraded their systems to cope with the anticipated demand.
