Fighter jet pilot killed after taking part in Spain’s National Day parade

THE PILOT of a Eurofighter jet aircraft has died in a crash after performing in Spain’s National Day parade flypast in Madrid.

A spokesman for Spain’s Ministry of Defence said the pilot didn’t have time to eject from the aircraft when it crashed in a field near the  Llanos de Albacete air base.

The plane was one of four that took part in the annual National Day parade on October 12.
