Get your entries in snappy for classic car club photo competition!

THE Classic Car Club of Andalucia is reminding members to get their entries in for their annual photographic competition.

Professional photographer Paul Yaffé will judge the competition which carries two fabulous prizes but entries must be in by November 12.

The top photographer has offered a prize of a ‘Yaffé Fusion Art’ portrait session and completed picture worth €1,175.

There is also a runner up prize of a two-hour master class in photography

The Classic Car Club of Andalucia, that now numbers almost 600 full members, was formed in September 2008 by enthusiasts that enjoy driving through the beautiful Andalucian countryside, while enjoying good for and sampling unique restaurants and, more importantly, good company!

Enthusiasts from many European countries have already signed up bringing such classics as AC Cobras, Mercedes Sports, MG’s, several Jaguar E-Types, Morgans, Bentleys, Triumphs and Sunbeams. American classics are also in the club including a stunning, original Corvette, a rare Shelby 500GT and a Shelby Cobra. Two members have collections, each with some 50 classics so variety is assured.

The club has also reminded members of forthcoming events starting with the Tour D’Extremadura from  October 23 to 28 which already has a full entry.

If you would like to have breakfast with the participants and see them off from the start it’s on the A-7000 Montes de Malaga road, about 7 kms out Malaga.  

Details are  being finalised for the November classic car run and lunch will be on  Saturday,  November 11 but the club promises ‘ a super day out.’  

Club members have also  been asked to provide a display of classic cars for the annual Christmas Fair of the Chaplaincy of the Costa del Sol West at the Palacio de Congressos in Estepona on November 25.

There  will be a Concours D’Elegance and there will be prizes for the best cars from each decade i.e. the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s plus a section for modern classics.

Prizes will also be offered for the best dressed ‘ensemble’ of car and crew in matching period dress.

Another date to add to your diary is the December Classic Car Run on  Saturday, December 9.

And, finally for now, the club has a terrific  Christmas Party planned for Tuesday,  December 12 at La Sala in  Puerto Banus.
