A WOMAN and her husband have been arrested after allegedly taking more than €90,000 in pension payments to her father who died in 2007.
National Police officers in Cadiz, southern Spain, have arrested the married couple, aged 55 and 54, for crimes of misappropriation and falsifying documents.
The pension payments were made into the deceased man’s account to which the daughter had access and withdrew the money.
The alleged fraud came to light when the Social Security services contacted the retired worker’s employer, the provincial government of Cadiz, about his status.
