AN URGENT appeal for information has gone out to holidaymakers on the Costa Blanca after a young boy was found lying motionless at the bottom of a resort swimming pool. The eight-year-old boy was reportedly pulled from the pool at the Magic Robin Hood by two holidaymakers – one a fireman from Madrid – on Sunday. He is now fighting for his life in the intensive care unit of a hospital in Alicante. On Facebook groups it is claimed that the lifeguards did not notice the incident, that there was no defibrillator and ambulance access to the pool area was difficult. Posting on the Benidorm & Costa Blanca News & Information Forum group Tracey Dwyer pleaded, “URGENT INFORMATION REQUIRED: We are urgently looking for pictures/videos taken in the MAGIC ROBIN HOOD on 09/09/18 between 12.30pm-2pm. “Someone somewhere must have taken pictures during this time, this could prove vital information regarding an incident that has taken place in the pool and has left an eight-year-old boy fighting for his life.” She added “Any pictures, Snapchats or vids taken between this time would be of great us and very much appreciated ❤️ “Thanks in advance!” Natalie Ashcroft said, “Hope young boy in question has a speedy recovery, thoughts go to his family, staying at the magic Robin Hood in a few weeks I hope this is an innocent accident.” Karen Maling Cowles from Benidorm’s British Businesses Association also said, “The association wants to offer our support and well wishes to him and his family for his full recovery.
