IN PICTURES: Trapped worker rescued from top of tower crane in Spain

FIREFIGHTERS with a head for heights swung into action on a turntable ladder after a worker at the top of a tower crane became trapped.
The scary incident happened high in the sky at a construction site for a new housing block in Pamplona.
It is believed that the worker was trapped by his foot by a moving platform at the top of tower crane.
Firefighters and police rushed to the scene of the accident yesterday (Wednesday) evening and scaled the crane to free the 38-year-old worker before lowering him safely to the ground.
He was taken by ambulance to the Hospital de Navarra suffering from trauma and heatstroke.
Police are now investigating the work-related accident.
