FIREFIGHTERS have dramatically rescued a young man who didn’t mind the gap and fell between a railway carriage and the station platform. One firefighter went down onto the track to support the man while colleagues with hydraulic tools forced open a gap between the platform and the carriage. A brigade spokesperson said: “He was bruised but conscious and in good condition and he could move all his limbs.” Once released he was taken to hospital for observation. The incredible scene was captured by a passenger on the train in Argentina after the station’s staff were alerted to the incident. There are reports that, prior to the incident, he had been drinking alcohol and had been involved in a scuffle.
