WEATHER ALERTS: Thursday, October 11, 2018. Source: AEMET
SEVERE weather warnings are in place in Malaga and on the Costa del Sol this morning (Thursday) until 11am. Spain’s national Met Office AEMET is again warning of further heavy rain and has issued a yellow warning for the Sol and Guadalhorce areas. It follows the warnings issued over the past few days which included a sudden raising of the alert level to red during the early hours of yesterday morning. Rain is expected to keep falling until around 6pm, although with less intensity. There are also yellow alerts in place in the neighbouring province of Cadiz in Andalucia. The emergency services have advised to ‘exercise extreme caution if you are in the area’. Forecasters are predicting the return of sun sunshine for the public holiday tomorrow and the Puente del Pilar.
