FOUR children – aged between 18-months and six-years-old – are amongst 16 people injured during a bullfighting festival in Spain. A heifer escaped from the celebrations in Valdelacalzada, Badajoz. 112 Extremadura emergency services control centre said the incident happened at around 4.49 pm yesterday (Saturday) afternoon. Among the injured are the four children and twelve adults between the ages of 21 and 73. The majority of the casualties were treated at the scene or nearby but five of the injured, including the four-year-old boy were transferred to hospital. Firefighters from the Puebla de la Calzada station, as well as a team from the Red Cross of Montijo, an ambulance hired by the Town Council for the celebrations, has also been deployed along with the paramdedics.
