TWO people have died following a head-on motorcycle crash on the Costa Blanca in the Alicante province of Spain. The horrific accident happened at km 13 on the CV-800 in Xixona – just inland from the Spanish holiday resort – yesterday (Wednesday) afternoon. Emergency services said that a car and motorcycle were involved in the fatal accident which was attended road ambulances and an air ambulance. According to local media, the 46-year-old biker died at the scene of the accident and his pillion passenger, a 48-year-old woman, lost her fight for life after being transferred to the San Juan Hospital in Alicante. Traffic police are investigating the events that lead up to the fatal crash.
