CURRENCIES DIRECT has teamed up with a Euro Weekly News legal expert to offer free copies of the latest edition of his book on Spanish law to customers who register.
The international money transfer company decided to give away David Searl’s new edition of You & the Law in Spain to help inform clients about the country’s legal system.
Searl currently writes the Legally Speaking column in Euro Weekly News, offering readers the chance to write in and ask questions about Spanish law.
Peter Loveday, the director of Currencies Direct’s Southern Europe operation, told Euro Weekly News he wanted to make the offer to help inform people about life under Spanish law.
“When I first moved to Spain 16 years ago I was fortunate to be given a copy of the 13th edition of You & the Law in Spain.
“I read whole chapters and have dipped into it since for reference. I was relieved to find David Searl’s tome remarkably readable and informative,” Loveday said.
Currencies Direct said in a statement those interested in the offer could visit one of their 15 offices and register, with no obligation to use their services. Customers are welcome to make an appointment to visit or to drop in, the company added.
Searl, has lived in Spain for 53 years and written for the Euro Weekly News for many of those years. He said the contact he had with readers of the newspaper helped to keep the book informed.
“Their questions are informed and always remind me to double check my facts,” he said.
Searl added he looked forward to a great relationship with Currencies Direct following the launch of the offer.
Ignacio Ortega, Currency Direct’s regional sales manager for the Costa del Sol, said the company’s relationship with Euro Weekly News was very important to them.
“Potential clients are always calling and saying that they saw our advert in the Euro Weekly News. It’s important for us because the newspaper’s distribution is so broad,” Ortega said.
Currencies Direct was founded in 1996 and has been operating in Spain since 1999. It now has offices in Benalmadena, Fuengirola, Marbella and in 12 other locations.
