A POLICE officer received first degree burns after several containers were deliberately set alight in Ciutat during the early hours of yesterday morning in Palma, Mallorca. In addition, seven vehicles which were parked nearby, were severely damaged in the arson attacks in two streets, Pere Ripoll I Palou and Joan Estelrich Artiques. Palma Fire Service and the Local Police confirmed they were called to the area at around 2.30am. So far this year, dozens of Emaya containers have been vandalised, and police sources claim no arrests have been made. The last act of this kind took place in the Son Espanyolet neighbourhood where containers and vehicles were damaged by fire.
