WATCH: Artist desecrates the tomb of General Franco – Spain’s former dictator – with red paint

A SPANISH ARTIST attending the 11am morning mass today (Wednesday) at the Valley of the Fallen has been filmed desecrating the tomb of Spain’s ex-dictator, Francisco Franco.
The incident involved a man spraying Francisco Franco’s tomb with red paint before being detained.
The man is filmed kneeling down at the foot of the tomb before brandishing a spray can and painting a dove with the words “For Freedom”.
The graffiti artist is seen being detained by security guards and verbally jeered by members of the liturgy while awaiting the arrival of the Guardia Civil.
The man shouts: “For the reconciliation of all the Spaniards!” while being detained.
According to sources, the man believed to be responsible for the desecration of the tomb is Galician artist, Enrique Tenreiro, who is in police custody.
