A MEMBER of Spain’s Guardia Civil has been stabbed to death in the early hours of this morning (Thursday). The 50-year-old off-duty cop reportedly received two knife wounds – one to the neck and one to the side – after he left a pub at around 2am. The fatal stabbing happened in the Plaza de España in the town of Don Benito, in Badajoz according to the 112 emergency control centre of Extremadura. National Police, Local Police, Guardia Civil and paramedics were quickly on the scene but couldn’t save the officer’s life.
