EMERGENCY services have resumed their search for a 35-year-old tourist who was swept out to sea after being hit by a large wave in a cove on the holiday island of Mallorca. The French woman, described as a non-swimmer was dragged away by strong currents at the picturesque Cala de s’Algar, in Portocolom at around 4.30pm yesterday (Wednesday). Guardia Civil officers and the Maritime Rescue service have joined the search Throughout the Balearics there have been almost 100 incidents due to the strong wind and rain as some the islands continue to remain under yellow alerts for severe weather through until at least Saturday.
