MARBELLA CANCER DAY CARE CENTRE BOOST: Asociación Española Contra Cancer (AECC) has received a cheque for €15,000 from the Fundación CLC World

THE Asociación Española Contra Cancer (AECC) has received a cheque for €15,000 from the Fundación CLC World.
The majority of the donation was raised thanks to an internal campaign, that ran through October, by CLC World Resorts and Hotels staff.
A full calendar of activities took place at the company’s resort in Mijas Costa including raffles, the sale of pink Fundación t-shirts, AECC ties, paella, pink and blue cocktails and much more. In addition, there was a blood donation drive.
The emotional highlight of the month was on October 19, Breast Cancer Awareness Day, when more than 300 employees gathered for a family photograph, accompanied by representatives of local authorities.
Fundación CLC World President, Juan Miguel Marcos, commented on how the funds raised will be aimed at reducing the impact caused by cancer and improving the lives of patients and their families.
“With this donation CLC World employees wanted to support the AECC in all its projects and join the fight against this disease.”
The event was attended by the provincial manager of the AECC, Pedro González; the president of AECC Mijas, Fuengirola and Benalmádena, Paula Casas; and the director of the AECC Marbella, Juan Carlos Domínguez, who showed their enormous gratitude to the Foundation for their important donation and for their commitment in the fight against the disease.
Pedro González explained that this donation will go towards the creation of a Day Centre in Marbella and the residence apartments programme that AECC provides, free of charge, to patients and relatives who come to Malaga to receive lengthy cancer treatment.
The event was also attended by local authority representatives from Malaga, Mijas, Fuengirola and Marbella.
