Drug arrests in southern Spain after driver fails to stop for police

GUARDIA Civil in Berja, Almeria arrested two people identified only as 30-year M.M.M. and 34-year old J.L.M.B after finding illegal drugs inside a car one of them was driving.
Officers’ suspicions were first raised when one of them ignored Guardia instructions to pull over at a traffic control. The driver then stopped further down the road and rushed into a shop.
Officers went after him, and when he couldn’t come up with a satisfactory answer for failing to stop when instructed they searched his vehicle. They found a container in a door pocket with marihuana inside and a number of bags of cocaine inside a glove box.
The driver was detained on charges of a crime against public health, along with the owner of the vehicle.
