WATCH: Final season of Game of Thrones gets a release date in Spain

THE eighth and final season of the hit TV series ‘Game of Thrones’ has been given a release date by HBO in Spain.
After a two-year wait, in a Tweet the company has announced that final instalment of six chapters of the acclaimed series will hit HBO in April 2019. although the exact dates have not been specified.


The Tweet was accompanied by a video trailer and the words:
Each battle
Every betrayal
Every danger
Every fight
Each sacrifice
Every death
It’s all for the throne
Although previous seasons have regularly featured ten episodes the final season will comprise of only six – but industry insiders suggest some of the chapters could run to 80 minutes.
Scenes for the final series of GoT have been filmed in Spain, in May this year the ruined Roman amphitheatre in Italica, in Santiponce (Sevilla) in the south of the country was closed the public for two weeks for shooting.

The last season of ‘Game of Thrones’ can be seen in Spain on both HBO and Movistar +.
In August of last year there were red faces at HBO España after the television broadcaster aired an hour of an upcoming episode five days before its scheduled date.
