WARWICKSHIRE POLICE have sent an appeal for information regarding a wanted man believed to be hiding on the Costa del Sol.
Luke Daniel Clarke, 22, from The Spires in Nuneaton, Warwickshire failed to turn up to Warwick Crown Court on Thursday 22 November.
He was due to be sentenced after pleading guilty to conspiring to supply class B drugs.
Police in Warwickshire originally arrested Clarke after the vehicle he was travelling in was pulled over and £15,000 in cash seized in November 2015.
Clarke pleaded guilty to possession of crack cocaine and cannabis with intent to supply in connection with a different incident in May 2016.
After he failed to appear at court for sentencing, a warrant has been issued for his arrest.
Detective Sergeant Richard Brown of Warwickshire Police said: “We believe Clarke has fled to Malaga or Marbella and we are working with the Spanish authorities to try and locate him and ensure he is returned to the UK so he can be sentenced.
“We’re appealing for anyone who has family or friends who live in or are visiting Malaga or Marbella to share our appeal on social media in the hope that they can help us locate him.”
Police have also requested that anyone with information that could help locate Clarke call Warwickshire Police on 101 (in the UK) or If calling form Spain, call 00441926410000.
