SIX provinces in Spain including Alicante and Malaga are set to be given new phone dialling codes to ensure communications officials do not run out of numbers. The Economy Ministry announced the plans in the Official State Gazette (BOE). The measures will see the provinces of Alicante, Badajoz, Burgos, Castellon, Guipuzcoa and Malaga get alternative dialling codes to issue alongside existing numbers. Alicante will now have 865 as well as 965, Badajoz will have 824 and 923, Burgos 847 and 947, Castellon 864 and 964, Guipuzcoa 843 and 943 and Malaga 851 and 951.
